3 Days of Bermuda

WHERE TO STAY

Paradise is waking up to ocean views in your first-class suite at the St. Regis Bermuda Resort, situated in the historic town of St. Georges. You can expect all the luxuries of a Marriott hotel with unbeatable views of a centuries-old fort that was built to protect the azure waters surrounding the island.

If a boutique villa experience is more your vibe, Leamington Caves is the perfect place for you. As the name suggests, this 1.5-acre property sits on top of its own private limestone caves that will blow you away and provide an experience like no other. This tranquil property sits among lush vegetation and has a swimming pool and viewing platform that overlooks Harrington Sound.

HOW TO TRAVEL

Travel in style with your own private driver. Limousine options include Limo Bermuda and Piece of the Rock Limousine Service. These services can offer chauffeur services and private tours, and if you are feeling extra fancy they will even include a red carpet and champagne!

Day 1

Ease into your vacation and enjoy the morning at your lodging choice. Breathe in the fresh sea breeze, have a bite to eat, and take in all the views before you head out for the day. Starting in the East you will explore the UNESCO World Heritage town of St George’s, the original capital of Bermuda, where the first settlers landed in 1609. There is much to learn about this historic town so you will want to take a tour with an expert like Kristin White at Long Story Short.

After you’ve wondered the quaint alleys and heard all the fascinating stories of the past you will want to grab some Afternoon Tea. Lilli Bermuda’s Perfume Factory offers a High Tea with seasonal treats that highlight local ingredients on Wednesdays and Saturdays. If you want to try another option, The Conservatory at Rosewood Bermuda offers a daily tea with a craft cocktail menu on the side.

Now you can wander the town’s unique shops. One thing you will be sure to notice is that every business owner is friendly and passionate about their location in the town of St. George’s.

Dotted along the shores of the Eastern tip of the island, there are lots of historic military bases to be discovered, such as Fort St Catherine or Alexandra Battery.

For dinner, you will indulge in some of the island’s best steak and seafood at BLT Steak NY, located at The St. Regis Bermuda Resort. Try the 28-day dry-aged Porterhouse 32 oz. for two, we promise you won’t regret it.

Day 2

Wake up and stretch out those tired legs. Take a private yoga or Pilates class at a beautiful venue and start your day of rejuvenation begin. Salt Yoga* offers private classes at beautiful outside venues creating a unique and memorable yoga experience. If you are up for a challenge, you can even try paddleboard yoga.

For lunch with a gorgeous view of the South Shore, dine at the Pink Beach Club at The Loren. Salads, sandwiches, and entrees for all palates. Try dishes with local ingredients like the corn agnolotti or the catch of the day served with asparagus, lemon, chardonnay, tomato and basil confit.

Now it is time to fully relax at the Spa. At Rosewood Tuckers Point you will find Sense, a world-class spa with treatments inspired by Bermuda’s rich culture. For a totally unique and Bermuda-inspired treatment try the Beach Repair Gentleman’s facial, the Sea of Life Ritual, or the Cedar Warming Massage.

Depending on how much time you want to spend at the spa you may want to spend some time out by the reflection pool with a book or your favourite podcast. If you would prefer to experience one of Bermuda’s beaches you can head to your hotel beach or one of the small coves along the South Shore.

Head to Tom Moore’s Tavern for dinner and experience the historic charm that this fine dining restaurant provides. The building itself dates back to 1652 when it was a private home, but over 200 years ago it became a tavern making it Bermuda’s oldest eating house. On the 21st of October 1970 His Royal Highness, Prince Charles, now the King of England, launched the restaurant as we know it today.

Day 3

Golfers will be spoilt for choice when deciding on the best course to choose. Head to Port Royal, the PGA Championship course, for spectacular ocean views and the famous 16th hole that is considered one of the premier par 3 holes in golf!

Is golf not your thing? Make your way to the Royal Naval Dockyard where you will find the National Museum of Bermuda and an array of shops and restaurants. Wander the old Commissioner's House and learn all about Bermuda’s fascinating history. On the property, you will also find Dolphin Quest where you can choose to swim with the dolphins. Wander the shops and pick up your Bermuda gifts from local artists studios, luxury jewellery shops or local designers. Don't forget to pick up a pair of authentic Bermuda Shorts from TABS Bermuda.

Do something special for lunch and create a curated picnic at a picturesque spot. Eettafel will custom-design your experience based on the island picnic of your dreams. This service will give you access to private properties you wouldn’t otherwise see – a true authentic Bermuda experience.

After your picnic, you will want to get ready for your private sunset cruise, after all, no trip to Bermuda is complete without some time on the water (it is the best way to see the island!). ZARA offers a luxury catamaran sailing experience and will take you to the best spots to see the beautiful sunset show.

The cruise will drop you back into the City of Hamilton, where you can end the night and the trip with delicious dinner and cocktails at The Cloud or Intrepid at The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.
