The Spa at JW Marriott Guancaste Resort is located
near Tamarindo on Costa Rica’s northwestern coast.
Available by appointment only, the Spa’s services,
treatments and amenities are administered by a team
of qualified, well trained and caring spa therapists
and include: body scrubs, body wraps, massages —
including in-suite and couple’s massages, facials, foot
baths, hair and scalp treatments, waxing, makeup
services, manicures/pedicures, men’s services, paraffin
hand treatments, therapy baths, and fitness classes.
The Spa’s upper level features 10 treatment
rooms, including five regular massage rooms complete
with garden terraces. Each is fully equipped and
includes individually controlled A/C and a music
system. Two have larger garden terraces complete
with built-in tubs for wet treatments and rituals. The
upper level also includes a multipurpose treatment
room providing body treatments and massages, two
facial rooms and a relaxation area. The lower level
features two luxurious couples’ rooms, each with
private garden and lounging space where guests can
relax and be served either lunch and/or dinner.
Guest can also enjoy “Al Fresco” massages at one of
four garden palapas. Both the men’s and the women’s
locker rooms are staffed by an attendant to serve guests
and offer Vichy shower rooms— ideal for scrubs and body
wraps. The lower level also houses steam rooms for men
and women, saunas, pools, the Spa’s beauty salon and its
fitness center, utilizing Italian Technogym equipment.
