One of the highlights of the winter season’s
fitness offerings is the four-hour excursion to
Johnston’s Canyon Ice Falls. The day begins with
a 30-minute drive to the trailhead where one
slips ice cleats over their boots for the trek to the
lower canyon. The trail, which includes a number
of suspended catwalks, leads to a majestic
waterfall frozen by nature into a sheet of
cascading ice.
Further east in the province of Quebec, there
