About the Position

TRAVELSAVERS is searching for an Accounting Intern to assist the financial department through multiple day-to-day accounting responsibilities as well as to assist with special projects.  The role will focus upon data entry and general finance functions for multiple brands internationally. Time commitment is approximately 15 hours a week.  We are located in Oyster Bay, NY, and the position is on site. The rate of pay is $15.00 an hour.

Duties include

  • Post and process journal entries
  • Update accounts receivable
  • Issue invoices
  • Prepare and submit reports

Qualifications

  • Majoring in a accounting or a related field of study
  • Dependable and can work autonomously
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Analytical thinking

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design Production Artist to join our passionate team. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming conceptual designs into polished, print-ready, and digital artwork. Your expertise in defining requirements, design production processes, technical proficiency, and keen eye for detail will be instrumental in delivering high-quality visual materials. Pay Range is $22.00 to $24.00 an hour. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the creative team to interpret and execute design concepts, ensuring seamless translation from vision to final production-ready artwork.
  • Produce marketing material for multi-faceted campaigns — including direct mail, sales collateral, event collateral, and magazine editorial.
  • Prepare and optimize digital files for print and web, following industry standards and
    best practices.
  • Work closely with printers and other external vendors to ensure the smooth execution of print materials, including reviewing proofs and addressing any production-related concerns.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining exceptional attention to detail throughout the design production process.
  • Maintain a well-organized file management system and adhere to version control protocols to facilitate easy retrieval and future reference.
  • Assist with design for PowerPoint decks.
  • Prioritize requests and deadlines in project management system.
  • Maintain brand guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years print production experience
  • Print editorial layout experience
  • Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including advanced InDesign skills within a
    MacOS environment
  • Strong typography, composition skills and color sense
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary
  • Ability to differentiate colors
  • Flourishes in a lively, fast-paced environment under tight deadlines

In this role you will work alongside other designers as well as internal stakeholders to design and build eye-catching and user-friendly websites, web ads, email campaigns, and PowerPoint presentations. Range of pay is $22.00 to $24.00 an hour.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Art Director and Senior Designers to create visually stunning and user-friendly websites that align with branding and business objectives.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to present to stake holders.
  • Design responsive and mobile-friendly interfaces that maintain visual appeal and functionality across different devices and screen sizes.
  • Design and build emails in HTML as well as in low-code editors such as Campaign Monitor
    and Act-on.
  • Enhance PowerPoint presentations with impactful visuals, custom graphics, and consistent branding to support various marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Create animation for web ads, presentations, email announcements, and web interactions.
  • Work with the marketing team to design eye-catching digital assets for social media campaigns, email marketing, events, and online advertisements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve our design capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience designing for web
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates past examples of visually impactful and user-friendly designs
  • Experience converting designs into working HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with Bootstrap framework preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe XD and Photoshop
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency across different platforms
  • Skilled at designing in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Video editing and motion graphics skills a plus

Acclaim Meetings, a division of the American Marketing Group, is a premiere industry meetings and conferences company focused on servicing the business units of the American Marketing Group and the Travel Industry.  Acclaim Meetings currently manages over 7 conferences annually ranging from 100 to 900 participants across the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean and will be growing over the coming years.  Locations range from Vancouver and Las Vegas to Miami and the Caribbean.

 

Summary of Job Duties:

The Event Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and execution of conferences and other events for Acclaim Meetings.  This includes tasks such as selecting venues, managing speakers, managing budgets, and coordinating with vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience in the travel industry and a proven track record of success in event planning.

Essential Responsibilities:

    • Work with speakers, sponsors, and other vendors to ensure that all event details are finalized and delivered on time and within budget
    • Assist in managing the event budget and tracking expenses
    • Manage event registration and attendee list
    • Oversee event setup and execution
    • Compile and distribute event materials, such as registration forms, agendas, and speaker biographies
    • Communicate with attendees and speakers throughout the event planning process
    • Solve problems and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the event
    • Follow up with attendees and speakers after the event to gather feedback
    • Assist in the planning and coordination all aspects of conferences and events, from the initial concept to the final execution and follow-ups
    • Manage the event software platform with data-inputting, reports, mobile app, and other features
    • Assist in managing the event budget and tracking expenses
    • Manage event registration and attendee list
    • Compile and distribute event materials, such as registration forms, agendas, and speaker biographies
    • Communicate with attendees and speakers throughout the event planning process
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends for hosting events as needed.
    • Serve as primary contact for events information.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in event planning, hospitality, or a related field
    • 2+ years of experience in event planning, preferably in the travel industry
    • Proven track record of success in event planning
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to create strong business relationships
    • Administrative technical skills including MS Office
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to multitask
    • Experience with event planning software
    • Ability to speak multiple languages a plus
    • Valid passport
