New TRAVELSAVERS Canada Affiliates Grow Preferred Partner Sales by $45 Million
Network Adds 23 Agencies in 2024
TORONTO (October 2, 2024): As consumer demand for travel experiences and advisors rises, TRAVELSAVERS Canada is seeing an influx of established agencies across the country choosing to affiliate with the network.
TRAVELSAVERS Canada welcomed 23 new affiliates this year, contributing to a remarkable $45 million increase in preferred partner sales. This expansion represents an eight per cent growth in the number of TRAVELSAVERS Canada agencies. They also added 100 Independent Contractors into various TRAVELSAVERS agencies over eight months, contributing positively to sales.
TRAVELSAVERS Canada growth comes as the industry is experiencing strong sales increases. According to Statista, travel is a $2 trillion industry that is trending upward as people prioritize trips. McKinsey reports 66 percent of travellers say they’re more interested in travel now than they were before the pandemic. Travellers also say they’re planning more trips this year than they did in 2023.
As well, travellers today are realizing the worth of a professional consultant. Statistics Canada indicated that Canadian travel agencies more than doubled their operating revenue in 2022, reaching $1.8 billion, from a low of $800 million in 2021.
"In today’s dynamic travel industry, agencies need more than just tools—they need a partner committed to their long-term success," said Jane Clementino, Vice President and General Manager of TRAVELSAVERS Canada. "At TRAVELSAVERS Canada, our focus has always been on empowering advisors with the resources, support, and innovative solutions they need to grow their business. By prioritizing their success, we’ve fostered lasting relationships and continue to see significant growth, proving the strength of our model and our dedication to our affiliates."
To help agencies flourish, TRAVELSAVERS Canada provides proprietary programs, resources and tools. One distinctive advantage is the dedicated team of Business Analysts, who partner closely with agencies to uncover opportunities to operate more effectively and grow their sales. The BAs get to know the individual goals and challenges of each agency, then tailor strategic plans to maximize their use of network offerings. Their customized counsel enables affiliates to reach new business heights.
Another unique benefit to TRAVELSAVERS Canada agencies is protected territories, where an agency has control over leads and clients in a designated area. The network also offers affiliates profit-sharing opportunities; connections to the industry’s finest suppliers; lead-generation campaigns; award-winning marketing, niche specialist groups; continuing education; exclusive events; and proprietary technology.
