For active sports fun, the resort offers tennis,
aqua aerobics, beach volleyball, water polo, darts,
archery, bocce ball, and table tennis. 18-hole golf
courses are available close to the resort in Puerto
Aventuras and Playa del Carmen. Water sports
include sailing, windsurfing, sunfish sailing,
snorkeling, kayaking, catamaran, aquatic bikes,
and one diving lesson in pool per stay.
The new U-Spa Wellness and Fitness Center at
the Barceló Maya Grand Resort is inspired by the
four elements. Its curved architecture in the
treatment wing induces the sensation of relaxation
where it is most experienced inside with an
environment that gives the guest the feeling of not
knowing exactly where they are, having become
part of a space where all of the constructive elements
strengthen the relaxation ambiance. Guest will
enjoy its exclusive facilities: saunas, steam showers,
tropical and bi-thermal showers, a dynamic pool,
and immersion pools. Or just relax and unwind in
the relaxation area. In the wet area, guests will
enjoy bright windows with a view to a tropical

treatments available in any of its 26 treatment
rooms, a oat room, a hydrotherapy room, three
Vichy showers, and a Swiss room. Its beauty salon
provides waxing, manicures, pedicures, and even
special makeup and hair sessions for brides.
Wining and Dining
At Barceló Maya Palace, gastronomy has been
designed to satisfy even the most discerning palates,
and without distracting from the beauty of the
Mexican Caribbean, whether dining indoors or on
the terraces.
The hotel offers six restaurants, all with views of
the Caribbean Sea, among which you will find: the
Mirador international buffet restaurant, La Hacienda
buffet serving exquisite Mexican cuisine, Rodizio
Brazilian specialty restaurant, the Brasserie French
restaurant, Caribe serving tasty Caribbean food, and
the Coral Grill beach restaurant. There are also five
bars strategically located throughout the resort.
Out and About
Riviera Maya is located in the state of Quintana
Roo. With over 60 miles of coastline stretching
from Puerto Morelos to Punta Allen, it is one of the
leading tourist destinations in the Caribbean thanks
to its white sand beaches anked by palm groves and
crystalline turquoise sea.
Among the attractions of the Riviera Maya you
will find the only Mayan ruins located along the
coast, and the Cenotes, underwater caves with
crystal clear waters for scuba diving. Children will
enjoy Xel-Há, the largest aquarium in the world
and the different natural parks in the area. End
