Pent-up demand for travel is reflected in the number of leads Travelsavers is driving to member agencies, the consortium said.
Travelsavers has generated more than 500 qualified leads per month in the last six months, which the consortium said is a record number. It attributed those leads to its proprietary website solution, OnlineXpress, and supplier-driven "digital tactical campaigns" offered to agents by invitation at no cost.
"And while we celebrate this news, the indication for all members of the travel community is clear," chief marketing officer Nicole Mazza said in a statement. "After a year of caution, travelers are aching to get back to travel."
Mazza also reported "robust" demand for cruising, especially expedition itineraries and sailings in Alaska and the Caribbean.
In addition to OnlineXpress and marketing campaigns, Mazza said Travelsavers' Lead Dash tool has also helped agents field business: It automatically notifies advisors of clients with unused credits, and helps market to those consumers.
