- Holiday Inn introduced a premium breakfast program and the H5 prototype design near Chicago's O’Hare Airport in 2023, with recent openings in Dallas, Philadelphia, Jalisco, Mex., and Canada’s Vancouver Island.
- Holiday Inn Express, IHG’s largest global brand, extends its "simple, smart travel" ethos to over 50 countries, with significant 2023 signings in major U.S. cities. Avid hotels, IHG’s emerging brand, debuted in New York City, aiming to triple its Americas estate with 140 planned properties across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
- Garner hotels entered the U.S. market with three properties and aims for over 500 open U.S. hotels in the next decade, with plans for global expansion. Candlewood Suites, known for its approachable design, expanded with 49 new signings in 2023, including openings in Salt Lake City, Atlanta, Houston, and Irving.
