Unveiling IHG's Expanding Luxury & Lifestyle Portfolio

Did you know that IHG Hotels & Resorts boasts one of the largest Luxury & Lifestyle portfolios in the world? IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle Collection is made up of six acclaimed brands that represent 22% of their global pipeline – nearly double what it was just five years ago.

Globally, IHG has transformed its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio through notable acquisitions of Six Senses, Regent Hotels & Resorts and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants; the growth of its iconic InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Hotel Indigo brands; and the launch of Vignette Collection. IHG’s brands in the segment globally span more than 800 open and pipeline hotels, of which nearly 260 are in the Americas.


Six Senses Douro Valley

IHG pioneered luxury hospitality with the 1946 introduction of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts as one of the first true luxury hotel brands. Today, each of its six Luxury & Lifestyle brands delivers a rich blend of properties, locations and experiences.

  • Six Senses: Since joining IHG in 2019, Six Senses has expanded to 23 hotels globally, with 43 more in the pipeline. Its recent signings include the first U.S. property, Six Senses Napa, Six Senses Xala in Mexico, and Six Senses Grand Bahama. The brand is also opening its inaugural Caribbean resort, Six Senses La Sagesse in Grenada, emphasizing harmony with nature.
  • Regent Hotels & Resorts: Regent is reintroducing itself in the Americas with Regent Santa Monica Beach, promising modern luxury and bold experiences. Known for exceptional service and design, Regent has iconic properties like Carlton Cannes and Regent Hong Kong.
  • InterContinental Hotels & Resorts: With 216 properties worldwide, InterContinental has evolved its brand culture and experiences, including renovations in key cities and new openings like InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa. Upcoming hotels include InterContinental Bellevue and InterContinental Indianapolis.
  • Vignette Collection: IHG's Luxury & Lifestyle brand, debuted in the Americas with Yours Truly in Washington, D.C. With unique properties like Sindhorn Midtown Bangkok and Porto’s Casa da Companhia, Vignette Collection aims for over 100 properties within a decade.
  • Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants: With 63 properties and expanding, Kimpton continues its boutique luxury trend, including openings in NYC, New Orleans, Roatán, and Mexico's Riviera Maya. Anticipated openings include Mexico City, Denver Tech Center, and Pacific Grove, Calif.
  • Hotel Indigo: Rapid global growth with 150 properties and 130 in the pipeline. Doubling its reach in three to five years, Hotel Indigo expands in the Americas with openings in the Galápagos Islands, Guadalajara, La Paz, Panama City, and upcoming in Washington, D.C., Barbados, and Grand Cayman.
