It’s hard to believe we are already more than a month into 2024. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating...we are thankful that you have put your trust in the TSA Hotel Program and we are pleased to once again be of service to you for what will be another prosperous year ahead.

Along those lines, I thought I’d kick off the first Advisor Advice column of the year with a recap of our TSA Hotel Program. The TRAVELSAVERS Hotel Division has been offering this complimentary, robust hotel program to both corporate and leisure agencies since 1989, enabling travel advisors to efficiently manage their travelers’ needs, saving them time and money.

In 2024, advisors now have access to more than 45,000 hotels and 1+ Million apartments, in 9,000+ cities and 190+ countries with value-added benefits.

IHG Hotels & Resorts One Rewards Discount Available under TSA Rate Code

Also new for this year, I’m excited to highlight that IHG Hotels & Resorts has partnered with us to attach the IHG One Rewards discount to the TRAVELSAVERS rate. This means that by booking our TSA rate code, your client doesn’t need to be an IHG One Rewards member to receive the discount, although we highly encourage you to enroll your travelers in IHG’s One Rewards loyalty program.

Book the TSA or TS8 rate codes in GDS

TSA is for our primary TRAVELSAVERS Preferred Rate, which provides last room availability, least restricted rates and is the standard consortia rate that is commissionable. It must always be offered by our hotel partners. TS8 is for our TRAVELSAVERS Deals Rate, which allows hotels to provide restricted rates (like minimum stay requirements), unique TRAVELSAVERS promotions, or pre-paid rates. The TS8 rates also provide a commission to travel advisors but it may not always be available from all of our hotels, depending on the promotion. Be sure to search both rate options for the best choices when booking for your clients!

No GDS? Use tripXpress

If you do not have GDS access, then tripXpress is your answer. tripXpress is an online, complete booking solution for travel advisors who want to book hotel, cruise, tour, activities and more for their clients. Access tripXpress through the TRAVELSAVERS Agent Extranet. When searching for a hotel in tripXpress, just filter by selecting the heart icon labeled as ‘Preferred’ and search your city and dates of choice. Hotels with the TRAVELSAVERS Preferred Rates will be displayed in your search results, giving you, and your clients, the best available rates. If you need training on the tripXpress booking engine, please reach out to your TRAVELSAVERS Business Analyst and they will be happy to assist.
