How to Auto-Populate TRAVELSAVERS Rate Codes in Sabre & Travelport Worldspan

Happy spring! I hope this volume of Agent’s Edge finds you doing well and seeing an even greater uptick in your business and leisure travel requests.
In this volume, I’d like to share some information that was in a previous volume from 4th quarter 2020 on how you can ‘pre-set’ or ‘auto-populate’ the TRAVELSAVERS (TSA) and the TRAVELSAVERS DEALS (TS8) rate access codes in your specific GDS. In this volume you will find that information for the Sabre® and Travelport Worldspan GDS’s and in our next volume of Agent’s Edge I will go over Amadeus, Travelport Apollo and Travelport+.
SABRE:
To have TSA and TS8 return in your availability search, you would use the PF Keys functionality by adding the following to your PF Keys:
^SRHOT^T CITY^^W¥TSA,TS8,TSX/^T DATE OF ARRIVAL^^W-^T NUMBER OF NIGHTS^^WNT^T NUMBER OF GUESTS^^W/^T CHAIN CODE^^W^E
The above PF Key allows for 3 rate codes, along with the required information (date of arrival, etc.) plus an optional addition of a hotel chain code (ie. HY for Hyatt).
In Sabre ‘Finder’ you can also type in PF Keys for more information on adding, importing, and editing PF Keys.
Travelport Worldspan:
Step 1: Type H/L [enter] (on the right you will see the Smart Panel)
Step 2: Populate in ‘Plan Code(s)’ field TSA and TS8
Step 3: Select the CONTINUE button
You have now pre-programmed TSA and TS8 (TRAVELSAVERS and TRAVELSAVERS DEALS) rates to appear first in all searches
In Native Worldspan:
Step 1: Type H/L (enter)
Step 2: In the /PC- field you enter TSA and TS8 *using the tab key
You have now pre-programmed TSA and TS8 (TRAVELSAVERS and TRAVELSAVERS DEALS) rates to appear first in all searches

The TSA rate is a required rate loaded by our hotel partners that ensures the least restricted, preferred rates in the GDS, as well as last room availability, guaranteed commission, added amenities and other great benefits. The TS8 rate is an optional rate that offers restricted rates such as pre-paid rates, minimum room nights required, and unique TRAVELSAVERS promotions while still guaranteeing commission.
