Is 2022 the Revival of Travel?

2022 is said to be the revival of travel (once the Omicron wave surrenders). As things do pick up and get busier, travel is sure to be on everyone’s mind. Domestic travel is seemingly the first market to pick up as travelers are still weary of COVID restrictions abroad. Longer trips, two-week minimums, will not be uncommon and four to six weeks are becoming more common.

Families want to travel again and spend time together. They are willing to spend more money and time together because of what the last two years have harbored. What can you do, or are you doing, to ensure you get your share of business?

Your marketing aspirations are key and evaluating what worked well in 2021 may take a back seat to new innovations this year. Social media should definitely be important to your business and marketing plan. Video and virtual events are great ways to gauge interest and spark conversations about your expertise in destination planning, and in general the value you can bring to your clients. They don’t have to be lengthy and doing them monthly is a sure way to stay in front of your clients. Use video and virtual events as a way to highlight the value you bring to planning travel, whether it be for your corporate clients needing that long awaited family vacation, or planning a large group cruise for clients going into 2023.

You are a destination expert, an organizer, concierge service provider, and you also add an extra layer of security protection for your client’s travels. And who is the person that helps the client 24-7, when they’re stranded or need help changing travel plans? Yes, that’s right, it’s you!
